I am Mevlana.
Let our day be bright, let our heart be in peace
So that we conform to HIS Giving,
[so that] We say, “We are Your human, thank YOU.”
Let greeting be to all of you,
Let each one who seeks, find in heart.

There is no arriving by effort,
[there is] No staying in nightmare.
One arrives only
By knowing,
By seeing as much as one knows,
By loving as much as one sees.

One seats in the shade of each lofty tree;
However,
Value is given to the tree according to the heart of the human.
There is human who burns fire under the tree,
He/she thinks neither of its root nor of its leaf.
If you say,
“My temperament is to have fun,
Is to laugh at the one that is curved,”
I say that you do not know the one that is straight.
In order to say, “Curved,” to the curved one,
Did you find the one that is straight?
Did you ask the one who suffers saying, “What is your condition?”
Did you say, “My Allah, remedy for his/her trouble”?
In order to say, “My Allah,”
Do not seek remedy for your own trouble only.
Be one with all [humans], be existent with all [humans].

If you say, “The decision of the hair that did not turn white, is not respected,”
Mature one of human is chosen not with hair but with heart.
The One Who chooses is neither you nor me, but The Lofty One.

Let our chat open, let the interpretation of the day be chosen.

You can not find the measure
Of the event that you do not interpret,
Of the wall that you do not see.

Let you take the sparrow as example.

Numan says:
If you do not erase the past, you can not open the future. [? If you do not erase the one that passed, you can not open the one that will come. ?]
If you do not set up the bridge, you can not pass to the other side.

If you say, “We are not tired of the earth,”
You did not come to be tired,
[since] You did not take the well as example for your path.

Each passenger who wishes, gets on the ship.
He/she asks the captain about the place where it goes to.
Farther than that, he/she does not think of the path.
Only,
It is necessary that he/she gets along nicely with the passengers who are on the ship.

The one who gives "sleeping" to its time, is the one who loves the sleep. [the one who sleeps regularly at the time period dedicated to sleeping, is the one who loves the sleep]
The one who tries to sleep randomly
Is the one who complains about the sleep.
I am Mevlana.
Our [spiritual] water is as much as it flows,
As much as HIS humans look.
There no mistake in my word:
The one who sleeps a lot,
Is the one who does never love sleeping.
He/she complains because of not longing but of his/her unwariness.
Because
[for him/her]
Moments spent during sleep are moments that stayed emptily.
However, the time of the sleep is evident.

Event is the occurrence of the event.
It is not debated, it can not be defended.

The one who comes first, passes the bridge.

On convenient path, human does of course not seek any guide.
Even if he/she sees [the guide], he/she does not ask.
How about what he/she will do when he/she comes to [a] four way junction?
You asked for the meaning, you said, “I wonder.”
My word is not for the essence of the congregation, but to all [humans].
[if one asks the guide, then]
There can not be dust of the pileless carpet that you did not lay [on dusty path],
Path’s dust does not come to human. [analogy with spiritual guide...]

Even though crossing of the mountain comes as difficult,
End of the path is not found [unless the mountain is crossed].

Universe does not keep one promise [only]. [universe keeps many promises]

We did not take smoke, we did not give [smoke] to his human;
We did not see [any smoke] in all [of you [congregation]].
Onto the path that we walk on,
We spread nothing, but sand.

On day and at night,
Life and Darling
Are always One,
Arrive in wholeness in One.

"You are the thin branch of the tree, let you see the hal that is in me,"
He said, my Yunus came.
Do not touch the brittle branch, it breaks.
Do not sit on stuffed branch, it bends.
Do not complain about the mixing of the water, it calms down.
If human runs a lot, he/she gets tired.
Let us go step by step,
Let us see so that we know,
Let us see, let us love,
Let us melt in HIS love.
Let us collect the ripe fruit.
Let us keep the leaf in hand, the rose in heart.
Do the lover and the beloved one expose themselves?
Do they not see anything, but their love?

Grape in vineyard, my eye on the path,
Drunkenness [in heart] is my promise [to you].
Let what I present to you
Be our addition to words like in the example of honey.
Let our guest laugh, let him/her stay with what he/she knows.
Let him/her know that he/she is faithful, not that he/she is in majority.
Majority is the assembly of faithful humans.
He/she acquires [a] new hal according to his/her own hal,
In his/her hal, he/she finds The most beautiful One.

Peace of the human who believes in good deed is not absent.

The corrupt one of temperament
Is in the one who looks at each situation saying, “It does not conform [to my intention].”
He said, my Yunus walked.

My Allah gave measure to [for] each event.
In order for HIS human to look always forward,
HE put his eye[s] in front of his/her head.
If it was necessary to look backward,
HE was not incapable of putting eye behind his/her head too.

[spiritual] Washer knows, he/she educates HIS human like that.

The one who seeks, finds.

The one who knows no path whatsoever, if he/she takes sparrow as example,
He/she gets rid of mistake.
One does not eat unripe one of the fruit. [even sparrow does not eat unripe fruit, it waits for the fruits to ripen [i.e. patience is the key of the path, even sparrow knows it...]]

No word is necessary for the child of human.
If you say, “Why?”
If you do not know the right one,
Then you teach wrongly.
In fault, you only find yourself. [then you make mistake]

The hal in which each creation is created, is beautiful.

Where is the fault of the human who gets excited?
In his/her overflow.
Let us get excited but not overflow.
It should not be forgotten that the one who overflows is the one who extinguishes the [heart] fire.

Boil in heart, play with all [humans];
What is meant by “playing,” is to please heart,
[is] Patience being the heading [headline/title]. ["patience" being the key of everything]

Hazrat Muhiddin Arabi says:
If fighting pleases your heart, keep away [from it].
If it protects HIS path, say, “Ya Allah,” proceed. [ya=O ...!/Oh ...! (used to show strong emotion, especially exasperation): Ya Rabbi! O Lord!/O my God!]
Do not wait for the end.
The ones who know to come to their senses,
The ones who descend [come] to the shore,
What is it that they hope for?
Let the ship come, let it take us, let it bring [us] to the path.
The one who waits finds, the one who is patient walks [on HIS path].

I am Mevlana.
What you put in the chest [trunk] is the one that you do not wear.
What you put in the bundle is the one that you do no put on display.
In the merchandize that you usurp, do not seek rightful due for yourself.
What I say is not mystery, it is open [clear].
If you say, "Let my foot be in water, let my hand [be] in [with] you,"
Then you are useful neither to water nor to other human;
It does not give you either.
This situation is worse than the hal that occurs during sleep. [i.e. Allah does not give permission to human's spirit to meet with other spirits of the same spiritual level and/or his/her saint during the sleep time ...]
Let my Allah make find.

Goodbye.

I am Mevlana.
The one who is consulted
When one becomes faithful, when one conforms to hal,
Resembles holding [a] pot [as cover] on the boiling saucepan;
Similar to how the vapor that accumulates on its cover becomes [water] drops, falls down,
Sprinkles around before reaching its destination,
Consultation resembles that too.
Do not be mistaken:
I did not say consultation about hal, I said about the path.
You [may] say, “Does my hal conform, is there mistake?”
However, if you say about your path, “Is it curved or straight?”
Then you speak irrelevantly.
The unripe one of each fruit gives acrid taste to mouth,
However, the one that waited [the ripe one] does not fatigue.
Even if we said like that, we would not have said wrongly.
I gave the word to HIS attribute, not to his/her essence.
What does one say to the one who says, “Darling,” [and yet] who mixes life with blood?
For life, Darling is necessary;
For the one who nourishes the life with blood, path is necessary.

Hazrat Osman says:
Give [make] your inclination upwards so that you go step by step,
So that you know each step.
There is no halfway of the path, no end [of the path];
Each step is [a] beginning,
Each moment is [a] look at the new one.

Whom does the drunkard consult with? With the barkeeper.
Why does he/she consult?
What he/she consults about is first his/her life, then his/her moneybag [budget].
Whom does the suffering one consult with?
At the place where there is no doctor, of course with my Allah.
Hence, at the place where hope ends, human becomes concrete.
The concept of 'concrete' here is 'to find The Reality.'
Faithful human is the one who does not fall in hopelessness.
The sick one is HIS as well as the one who is master [is HIS];
The One Who builds is HIM as well as The One Who demolishes is  HIM.
If HE burned, it is for good deed,
If HE demolished, it is for good deed too.
Each good deed [is] for HIS darling humans.
How do I not love The One Who loves me?
How do I not give heart to The One Who created me?

Let my handkerchief be on HIS branch,
Let my oil lamp be at HIS caravansary,
Let my heart be for all of HIS humans,
He said, my Yunus came.
Faithful [human]
Does not look for [remedy] at HIS humans,
Does not complain about the chronic state [situation] of HIS human;
Even if he/she does, he/she does not take any dig at him/her.
“Let me give my lifetime to his name,” I said,
I put heart in Tabduk.
He wore rose around himself,
He opened his chat to each one who wished.
It [earth] passed through his eye, [he took his test on earth]
He migrated from earth,
His name is still written in hearts.
He said, my Yunus walked.

“We do not exchange the [spiritual] meaning for the matter.
When we say,  'In the name of Allah,' we do not break our promise.
When we give to the face, [when we encourage]
We do not turn back, we do not run away,”
He said, Hazrat Omar took the word.
The apple that is on the branch is at the food market.
If it is said, “What does it mean?” It is in ripeness.

Let hearts be bright, he said, he walked.

Where is the bottom, where is the top of the sky?
If human sits on the sphere,
Let him/her know
That the universe is at each step that he/she takes,
[that the universe is] In my word that is given without mistake.

If shirt comes to body as tight,
“Keep your heart as large,” I say.

I love the food whatever my God-given share is.

I look at the grass saying, “Carpet of the universe."

Salvation to all of you,
Let you be entrusted to my Allah.

I am Mevlana.
We walked saying, “Destiny,”
We read saying, “It is written,” [? We read saying, “HE writes,” ?]
We waited saying, “HE changes [the writing],”
We spent our earth day in vain.
Because
My Allah knows what HE writes, what HE changes HIMSELF.
HE sees what is good deed for HIS human, before HE gives.
Let your seeing eye belong to HIM,
Let it [your seeing eye] be satiated with what HE gives.
Let your tongue that speaks, remember HIM,
Let it happen as he/she remembers.

Let human wrap in swaddling clothes saying, “Good deed.”
Let one not curse because of the wall that collapsed,
Let him/her know that The One Who made it collapse, is HIM.
Let him/her not forget:
For the new wall that HE will build, HE abolishes the old one.

Let the one who says, “Let me be soft,”
Know that he/she is on that [HIS] path.
Let the interpretation of the chat stay for later,
Let human not get tired for that. [? Let the interpretation not be made about human. ?]

Societies
Are the order [orderliness] of the crowds;
[societies] Are the ones that found order.
When each human finds the order,
Society becomes heart as [a] whole;
In such society, cursing disappears.
Peace is for the one who wishes [for it];
When the society becomes heart [as a whole], then it seals the peace,
Then it conforms to the order of law.
If you say, “What is it?”
My Allah did not divide earth into parcels and [did not] give to humans [like that].
However, if human says,
“Let me set up order,
Let me lay foundation on earth in my name,”
If he/she goes to extreme in order,
What happens?
Of course, struggle is necessary.
If you know your existence, if you erase the earth,
Then you would see so many favors of my Allah.

Deep love is not beyond of the earth,
But [beyond of] the life.
Can you say, “Let my life stay, let [it] know my Darling”? [my life is not important, knowing Darling is the most important]
Voila, deep love is that!
My life is in HIM,
My Darling is in all humans who are one in me.

Let us give water to the jug, let us see each one who drinks.
Let us plow the ground finely,
Let us know what we plant,
Let us harvest what we plant.
If you say, “Does the grain cellar get full, is it useful for human?”
The one that is not useful, does not come from my Allah. [only the one that is useful comes from my Allah]

Do not say, “Poor one of human does not laugh.”
Let my Allah laugh at HIS human,
Let HIM give his/her earth God-given share as scarce… [as long as Allah smiles at HIS human, it does not matter if human's earth God-given share is little...]

“Let me take color from the surrounding,
Let me wrap [it] around the tree branch,” he said,
My Yunus came.
Food of the one who does not eat,
Stone of the one who does not laugh
Is a lot.
If you do not eat what there is, you throw [it] away.
If you do not put the pile of stones in order, you fall down.
If you do not look at the path that you go on, you get confused.
Who is called as guide?
Why is it necessary that he/she shows path?
What is it that the one who knows, will give to the one who does not know?
The one who says, “I know,” where does he/she learn from?
In order to say, "I knew," it is necessary to conform.
He/she can only give what he/she conforms to.
You, giving the one that you can not conform to
Resembles turning the mill without water.
Let me wrap myself up in Your attribute,
Let me burn with Your deep love,
Let me be the only one who knows that I burn,
Let it be known by me and YOU [only].

My Allah, what YOU give is for all [humans].
[as humans, you:]
Let what you see be in all [humans].
Let the one who hopes for, find,
Let the one who does not know, learn,
He said, he greeted, he walked.

If you do not wear cloth with patch,
If you do not find your food,
Are you not HIS beloved human?
Whom do you give the chisel to?
Of course to the one who knows [to chisel].
Straight wood, everybody cuts [it], [every one can cut the wood straight]
He/she makes two [pieces] come together, he/she makes a box.
[however,] Chiseling is only done by its master.
When 'saz' is played, who hears? [saz=a stringed instrument (which somewhat resembles a lute)]
Of course the one who loves [it], the one who knows to dance.
[however,]
Neither the one who dances nor the one who does not, is sinner.
Do not give measure to sin-to good deed yourself.
Do not separate human from human.
Give your hand to the one whom you know as sinner so that
He/she feels love for your good deed.
Maybe he/she conforms to your hal.
If it does not happen, do not turn [your] face [back],
Do not knock your decision over saying, “It does not happen.”
Whatever happens, whatever that does not happen, [is] from HIM,
The One Who writes, knows it [already] since yesterday.

Let you be entrusted to my Allah.
Let you stay away from the event that you do not expect.
Let you find in the ocean The One Who makes all [one] people. [ocean==God]

Let you conform to the greeting of Master Yahya.
“Let Meryem [Virgin Mary] be the conformant of the nest,” we said. [nest==Mevlana's/Garib's congregation]
We gave the word to Mansur. [Mansur=Mansur Al-Hallaj, Sufi saint who lived in the 10th century; he was tortured and killed when he said openly, "I am Truth [=I am Allah]."]
I said:
My Allah, they hit me,
They sifted me with the sand of HAK,
Neither did they find stone, nor did they give me path.
I gave my life to The Giver.
My Darling, I stayed in YOU.
'His tomb,' you say, you watch after my path.
You come, you  go, you wander around,
You look for [me] in the ground;
What do you ask for at the palace?
Let you know [me] in Kaaba, let you find [me] there.
Do not forget:
Building of Allah,
Heart is its door;
Voila, Kaaba is there!

Wish belongs
To the one who wishes,
To the one who says, “My Allah.”

Goodbye.
