I am Mevlana.
HE is taken from earth from sky,
HE is seen in every event.
If I give The Being of The Beautiful One
To the degenerate one of the order,
“From me,” he/she says.
Let us conform to the one that we take from birth.
Let us walk in the direction that we conform to.
Without taking from spare,
Without staying in summary,
Let us know
The one who exists as much as he/she is [spiritually] mature,
[let us know] The smoke in the direction that he/she gives. [each human's spiritual maturity is different; let us accept them as they are...]
Spare: idea that does not belong to oneself.
The one who has love in him/herself
Is the one who erases him/herself. [is the one who erases his/her ego]
It is asked saying,
“Does one talk with sound in the other world?” [does one speak with voice in after earth life too?]
Sound is for human [who is on earth].
Thought is current. ['current' as in 'electric current']
[if earth human could communicate without voice, i.e. by telepathy:]
What you say in the mind,
If it touches
The dust of the order, [if one thinks badly about HIS order]
The less one of the beautiful, [if one thinks about ugly]
[then] One's response does [would] not come.
Namely,
The question of the one
Who does not know his/her place [in after earth life],
Who does not conform to HIS Being,
Opens path to worry. [leads to worry]
Because
Even though the answer that he/she will get
Is the most beautiful one,
Is the most correct one,
His/her interpretation takes him/her to worry.
[his/her interpretation] It is not valid.
Because even though its value is very high for you,
[the degenerate one] He/she said word in half order.
They say,
“In word, he/she lay down on the wall.” [==he/she talked nonsense]
Put your heart
Not in the one that is said by someone,
But in the one that the order [orderliness] will give you.
Do not say,
“What does the order give me?”
The order makes you find you.
When ‘the order’ is said,
It is
Not the state and the order of the country,
But the manifestation of HAK.
Let you say,
“I became leaf that does not fall off,
I found order [orderliness] without bowing [before HIS human].
I headed only toward my Allah,
I kneel on knee before the order under HIS rule.”
Whatever they say,
Let them find themselves in the order [orderliness].
If you see the flower in flowerpot,
You love your garden.
You put [the flower] in vase,
You decorate your home.
However, the one that is put in vase
Is temporary.
The one that is planted in the garden
Is continuously giver.
Grapevine is planted,
Its yield is waited for.
Let it not be forgotten:
It is first said [about], “Unripe grape.”
For being ‘unripe grape,’
Is the fault
In grapevine?
In soil?
[or] In unripe grape?
[the fault] It is in the order [orderliness],
In The One Who makes the order.
If it is like that:
It is
Not fault
But blessing.
When
“We have put the grape on display”
Is said,
It is searched from [at] the market.
When it enters the jug,
It is asked from the drunk.
Wherever it is searched,
Whomever it is asked,
It finds its place.
It comes from hand to hand. [? It comes from human to human. ?] [analogy with human life on earth…]
I searched The Reality,
I combed the detail. [I even checked every single detail]
I walked around every place
Of which I new, of which I did not know
The region, the custom.
I asked each one who had question
About what he/she searched.
Like that, I dived into deep,
Like that, I climbed up to highs.
[however,] I solved The Reality only in whirlpool.
The love of the one who loves
Is until the place where he/she is full.
The day on which he/she is full
Is the day on which he/she is satiated.
Beyond That,
He/she does not search an other Darling.
The love of The Lofty One,
The giving of the lifetime
Give place to the judgment of human,
Not to his/her time.
Each human has [a] notebook during his/her lifetime.
Let it not be thought that it stays in his/her hand.
When one comes to the last page,
When its last line is read,
He/she says, “Eyvallah,"
He/she migrates.
If you ask
Not from horizon
But from dawn [dawn==migration to after earth life/ to be born in after earth life]
[then] Our giving opens.
In the life of each human,
There is his/her day that is inclined to return [to after earth life].
At [during] return, his/her heart is narrow.
[however,]
When he/she finds his/her place [in after earth life],
When he/she erases the worry,
He/she finds his/her story,
He/she laughs at him/herself.
If you take thousand questions
From one question,
[then] You lose your credibility.
Let the questions not make [one] fall in detail.
We give as much as one is [spiritually] mature,
As much as you find.
We go down into deep
In The Meaning only.
If you search in The Meaning
And you pull apart the matter, [if you try to understand The Meaning by examing the matter in detail]
[then] You shilly-shally.
[for example:]
The one who asks path because of the journey [? war ?]
Is the one who sees torrent at dawn.
If you are closed when you open the questions,
When your question widens,
You, yourself, get narrower.
Irrelevant fear
Darkens relevant event.
If you ask agha,
[he says that]
Slave’s power is weak.
In reality, the order that is set up [by human] is disorderly.
If you give work to slave according to his/her power,
He/she does not complain.
If agha is from the ones who know,
He/she does not withhold what he/she will give.
The one who does not know [about] the progress of the [divine] order
Does not look for stairs when he/she goes up to the roof. [the one who knows the divine order, looks for the stairs]
If he/she stays on the ground,
He/she does not ask for the door.
We came from HIM,
We will return to HIM.
We will find ourselves
On the day when we erase the doubts.
If there is
'Staying [being] hungry' in human’s destiny,
Even if mountains, stones give him/her,
Even if sea, river come to him/her,
He/she still stays hungry.
The place [in after earth life] of the one
Who is hungry,
Who is full
Occurs not because of what he/she chooses
But because of what he/she passes. [i.e. whether he/she enters or passes the caravansary in which the saint is boniface].
[as such] He/she finds his/her place in the writing. [the writing==destiny]
The tree that is knocked over
Does not become the end of the earth;
New tree is planted.
Even the tree that you say about,
“It is knocked over,”
Gives you.
It becomes wood,
It heats.
Similar to how the sultan who sits in the pavilion
Sees his own region as beautiful,
Makes known to his slaves his custom;
When there is inflation
In the environment to which he ties his heart,
He says to his environment that bellicose ones are coming.
The moment in which he sees the harmony,
He retreats to his palace.
One should put distance in between
Like in the example of sultan and slaves.
Inflation occurs in close friendship as well as
It comes with matter.
What you take through eye
Melts [dissolves] like in the example of sugar;
Even when it melts,
It still gives its taste.
“Your era,
I did not take your place, [I did not live in your era]
I did not conform to the order on [that] day,” [I missed the good opportunity of living in your era]
You say,
You seek beyond the wall
The one who does not know.
Say,
“My place is beautiful as it is,”
Love the one that exists
As he/she/it is. [? As much as he/she is [spiritually] mature. ?]
For the one that you make mistake about,
Do not say, “I may fall in fault.”
The fault of the one who knows
Is temporary.
Let you be entrusted to my Allah.
Soap is necessary
To [for] the one who washes the laundry;
Thread is necessary
To [for] the one who weaves his/her fabric;
HIS human is necessary
To [for] the one who says, “My Allah.”
What sky takes from earth,
What human sees on earth
Is because of the birth.
Our question
To the one who falls in deep love,
To the one who ignites with his/her deep love:
Where did you come from?
Where did you find?
Where did you mature [spiritually]? [? Where did you exist? ?]
To know from coming
Occurs in the brave one of Close Friend.
The brave one of Close Friend is the one
Who does not babble,
Who does not melt his/her day with the degenerate;
[he/she] Is the one who opens his/her eye to
Nothing
But deep love.
You have not been slave of HIS human,
You did not find value in slave, [you did not have your value thanks to 'having slave' / you did not have any slave]
You matured [spiritually] with my Yunus, [? You came into being with my Yunus, ?]
You came together with Mevlana.
You consulted with Hadji Bayram,
You talked to my Eyyub.
You crossed the shadow without [even] realizing,
You reached with the one who crossed.
Let you be entrusted to my Allah.
My word is yours.
There is no interrogation at the border [interrogation==interrogation that takes place at the time of migration to after earth life]
Of the one who goes in peace.
The worry of the one that passed
Does not stay in heart.
Do not say,
"Conformity is satiety."
My deep love is my habit. [? My deep love is my temperament. ?]
If you call as Close Friend, the close friend
Who wanders around from branch to branch,
Who entertains him/herself from day to day,
Then you take the solid into mouth.
Show your deep love around
Like in the example of Yunus:
There is love
In mountain,
In tree,
In flower;
Have heart-to-heart talk with them
Until the day on which
You wait for the one who gives with hal.
My Yunus says:
Let me take the word,
Let me fill [human’s] heart.
I said [say] about the event of deep lover:
I searched deep love in Tabduk. [Tabduk=mursheed of Yunus when he was on earth in body]
They did not keep [me] in dervish lodge,
The did not look at my deep love, [they did not pay any attention to my deep love]
They did not bear with my trouble.
I wandered around and around.
I saw HIM in every
Branch,
Leaf,
Bee,
Flower.
I weaved the universe with HIS deep love.
At that time,
I, myself, solved What I saw.
If you say,
“What is the one that you solved?”
I found me [? ME ?].
Notch opens
When one heads toward HIM.
My Yunus is with you,
Why is the loneliness?
If you are filled with The Meaning,
You erase the matter.
“You will find the one who conforms,
You will give hand in hand,” we said,
We gave before.
In patience,
Salvation is seen,
Helva is mixed with honey. [helva=a sweet prepared with sesame oil, various cereals, and syrup or honey]
Our giving [is] in the surrounding.
The one who sees, there is his/her mirror. [vision==to see HIM in HIS creations]
Beyond the birth, [when human is born on earth]
In the hard one of The Reality,
Human finds him/herself.
[similar to] When walnut is broken,
Its essence comes to hand.
You will be like in the example of deer: [? You will mature [spiritually] like in the example of deer: ?]
You will take the love from the one who [? The One Who ?] gives.
If you say,
“Is it the one that I hope?”
Eyvallah.
To the one who [? that ?] comes from east to west:
Path is convenient.
Do not be from the ones who give up
Even if he/she turns.
If he/she added water to his/her oil,
Then he/she becomes one of the ones that splatter.
It [he/she] comes to rest
When its oil gets hot
And its water is consumed.
Do not say,
“He/she did not open his/her eye,
He/she did not distinguish the earth.”
He/she will find The Reality when his/her water is consumed.
Let the mirror be in your hand,
Let what you see, smile at you.
Let the one who does not come to watch,
Let the one who does not conform to the order [orderliness]
Stay away from you.
You wait for
What the bird that is on the mountain gives,
From the sea.
You add the ayran that is in churn [ayran=a drink made of yogurt and water]
To water;
You throw the one who is far from your eye
Away from the heart; [==out of sight, out of mind]
On branch,
You look at the one that comes to hand. [you look at the ripe fruit]
Values are tested in accordance with their own weights:
The one who exists
Is tried with the one that he/she conforms to.
Let your judgment be with yourself;
Leave [alone] the one who goes, [the one who goes==1. human who goes without entering the caravansary in which the saint is landlord; 2. The one who goes to after earth life]
Let my Allah judge [him/her].
Sheep conforms with lamb,
HIS human [conforms] with the writing.
The one who/that loves, hears the one whom/that he/she/it loves.
What you wish for
Comes into being.
The one who takes his/her place [in after earth life]
Comes together… [the ones who take their places in after earth life, come together]
We said, "Four leaves,"
We gave before.
On the bridge that you cross,
When you say,
“I did not take satiety,” [I was not satiated]
Is because your were tied to the day. [you were in love with earth life]
What you wish will come true,
It is not [a] worry.
If you ask from number,
Then you tie to the day. [do not count the days / do not hurry]
You solve the one that happens on the day
With the one that comes.
He [? She ?] gives his [? her ?] name
In the future.
Among us, question occurs in moment; [==we receive your question by telepathy]
No witness is necessary.
The name that [thanks to that name:]
The birth proceeds to wideness… [birth=1. to be born on earth; 2. to be born in after earth life]
My Allah knows,
It is given on the day when HE gives permission.
Each one who comes is from HIM.
One’s value is nourished with love. [the more one loves/is loved, the more one gets closer to HIM]
