I am Mevlana.
We saw the one
Who comes from the path,
Who asks about the one who is distressed.
Let greeting be,
Let him/her watch while admiring in HIS name.
We said
That one will take from east to west,
That one will find What he/she searches, in the record.
Let us say
That what you miss from your view will open with vision, [vision==to see HIM in HIS creations]
That you will find The Reality in the wildness and in the degenerate.
At the place where he/she can not open,
Let him/her give hand to the one who can not run,
Let him/her walk hand in hand.

In interpretation,
You asked [about]
Not the one that you search
But the one that is forgotten.
What is the one that is forgotten?
Do not forget the one who fell in fear
On the day when you asked [about] The Reality.
Let us give to interpretation:
The one who enters without knocking at the door,
The one who degenerates without asking your intention [on whether you want him/her to come in].
The one who drags his/her foot,
The one who calls you to account for dragging his/her [own] foot.
“How?” is said.
Remember the day when he/she asked you [about] The Reality.
The beauty is that:
Whatever is said,
Whatever the judgment is,
Let The Reality be given openly.
‘The one who enters without knocking on your door,’ we said:
He/she is remembered as 'spare,' [spare==human who doubts WHAT he/she searches]
On his/her foot, the shape of dragging is seen.
He/she drags his/her foot not because of disability;
He/she is the one who moves away [from HIS path].
Remember your return to yourself on the day
When you said, "Satiated,"
When you found joy from the leaf.
He/she asks from him/herself,
He/she enters the interpretation like that.
At his/her return to his/her Owner,
He/she has interrogation because of him/herself.
Nevertheless, his/her giving is narrow.
The knots that you say about, "Let me untie,"
You will untie [them]
On the day when you will give from east to west,
You will pay your own account to yourself.
You will say, "Thank YOU, my Allah."
If you search smokeless path,
[then] Recognize your Close Friend.
If you say, "I am stuck in the notch,"
[then] Let you know what is in your hand.
"Who is my Close Friend," you say.
The one with whom you try to cross together,
The one with whom you came together until the [current] day.
Interpretation of Close Friend:
It is post to Close Friend. [post==congregation to unite in ONE]
What you search in bunch,
What you see in 'a lot-a little,'
You find [them] in disorderly order.
In conformity, know
The one that is equivalent to your tree,
Human who matures [spiritually].
Happiness is togetherness.
We do not have any word in complaint. [we do not complain]
"Let us open the file,
Let us take [it] easy," you said,
You entered the word like that.
Thanks to the specialty of your job,
The subject will conform.
The one that you bring from east to west,
The one that you grow with all [humans]
Will make your name equal to my name.

We said,
“Give The Reality,”
Didn’t we?
Do not give The Reality as covered [==give The Reality openly]
Saying, “It does not conform to the angle.” [saying that IT is different from what is known in the past..]
[if you do not give openly:]
Then you turn
Not to the one that you open
But to the one that you passed.
Everybody knows the one that passed.
Take to the direction that you think of
As [much spiritually] mature [as he/she is].

Your word is [about] construction,
Sinan came to you, the architect:
I added my deep love to the building,
From the day when I came [to earth]
To this day,
I threw my name to the universe.
Love is the signature of the universe.
Do not forget:
Each one who loves
Signs [an] autograph
That is not erased.
Enter the interpretation like that:
What we call as page, [page==pages of ONEness of HEARTs]
What we give with basket
Is that [love].

Let us be from the ones who know to come to their senses.
Let us find from the structure of the tree
Its root.
For the one who does not conform in idea,
Let us not say,
“His/her return [to HIS path] is forbidden.”
What comes from tree,
What the one that is put on display, gives
Is The One That is wished.
Be from the ones who put on the display.
All of them are in our lines; [in the metaphoric meanings of ONEness of HEARTs]

We entered through The Building,
We gave with Sinan.

I am Mevlana.
When earth’s surface is said,
When one looks at many places,
When every stove is ignited,
Song-folk song is sung,
Destiny is learned like that.
The one who does not say, “Darling,” and cry,
The one who does not sear [cauterize/burn] his/her heart with HIS deep love,
Does neither search nor ask.
If you say,
“Where does he/she come from,
Where does he/she go to?”
Is each one who knows, from the [HIS] path?
Is each one who sees, from the 'hal'? [hal==to find oneself in water, air, sand, soil, tree, leaf…]
Is the one who searches, the body?
Is it [the body] the one that drives the herd?
Let us say, “We came [to earth],”
Let us be thankful to HIM for WHAT we know,
Let us remember HIM in our pleading.
Your each remembrance is of course pleading.
Do not say, "Because of breath."
They [days] are passed, days are crossed like that.
Do not think that one runs without [HIS] path.
Each one who runs, is from the ones who know;
Each one who crosses, is from the ones who find.
To the one who says, “Steep rocks are not crossed,”
Let you say:
I become bird, I cross,
I become fish, I pass the sea.
Because intention
Makes rocks be crossed,
Makes oceans be passed.
I am Mevlana.
My place is evident:
Tree that is loved has branches.
Let us not take smoke,
Let us not give passage to the one who does not know.
Even though there is power in iron,
Before coming to hand,
Before finding the fire,
It does not take its shape. [analogy with human's spiritual maturation by means of events]
To the difficult one,
Do not say, “My path.”
You sailed out to wideness.
In each event that one runs up against and watches,
You find HIS Order [orderliness],
You laugh at the past.
The one who does not endure [the one who is not patient]
Does not know.
You do not throw the frame saying, "It comes as narrow."
When it becomes wide, then you look through.
Our place is like that:
On the [current] day frame comes as narrow.
Osman says:
What you see with eye [vision==to see HIM in HIS creations]
Is what you build with Essence.
What you give with hand
Is What you wrap with heart.
If the belt comes as tight,
You do not say,
“My belly is wide,”
You search the fault in belt. [you try to blame the belt]
Fault is
Neither in hal nor in belt:
It is in the one who took [bought] the belt as tight.
Events are like that too.
Neither in cliff nor in apex:
Mistaking is only in question,
Or mistaking is in view.
We find The Reality in birth and in death
Yet why do we comb the events,
Why do we search the one with fault, the one without fault?
Let us educate ourselves
In taking the image, [in seeing HIS Image]
In finding beautifully. [? In finding The Beautiful One; ?]
Let us disperse the smoke,
Let us add water to the one that comes as hard.
Mesnevi [Mesnevi=Mathnawi, collection of Sufi teachings by Mevlana Rumi while he was on earth in the 13th century]
Is maturation of HIS fruit,
Is ‘coming in hand [of the ripe fruit].’
On my earth day,
I planted the seed;
On the [current] day, I collect its fruit,
I present to each one who comes.

In each event that transforms from south to north,
The place of the east and the west is present.
What is searched in The Building is
Not [HIS] name but [HIS] power.
Work
Not to know your place
But to take.
That The Reality is read
That It is built
Will be seen on the day that comes.

You see the body only on earth.
[we have no body:]
You only love us.
Each event that comes as equal
Erases the imbalance.
Erase the fear.
When I talk about iron, is that.
Past becomes the mirror of the future.
The one who does not know [The Meaning]
Wears out him/herself of course.
Yes, wait with patience,
[then] You will see the [mulberry] leaf as silk.
[similar to] How leaf becomes silk,
You will cover The Beautiful One on events like that.
Didn’t we say?
It will be seen that the leaf becomes silk.

You say, “Swaddle,”
You open;
[then] Why do you run away from events?
We planted [with Mesnevi] on such a wide soil that
The crop came into being in seven hundred years.
“No one spirit stays without taking [electromagnetic] current [on earth],” we said,
We gave before.
There is no one that is [already] tried. [no reincarnation on earth]
Each human comes [to earth], takes [electromagnetic] current,
Like that he/she finds him/herself.
The [current] day’s interpretation is the seed of the old one.
You plant the old one,
You harvest the new one.
What is meant by ‘the old one’
Is the seed that was thrown to soil.
Does chicken come out of egg?
Does egg come out of chicken?
Think.
I will give the answer when three days pass. [in three days]
My Allah is The Creator,
It is known.
However,
The knot that is in coming into being
Is like in the example of chicken-egg.
Think for three days,
You take the answer on that day.

What we do not take from spare, [spare==human who doubts WHAT he/she searches]
[is] What is not on us as load at the passage.
It does not come from interpretation:
What is taken with number [what you take [as sign of greediness] while counting the matter]
Is not erased from the page [on which sins are recorded].
One does not put in heart
Every event that gives worry.
Witness is the one who sees,
Not the one who enters interpretation. [not the one who interprets]
When the smallest one feeds the biggest one,
It is known as variety.
When the biggest one feeds the smallest one,
“[it is] Appropriate,” is said. [? His/her place [in after earth life] is said [determined]. ?]
Say to the one who comes as guest:
“I will mix ‘a lot’ with ‘a little,’
I will set up balance in coming into being.” [? I will set up balance in [spiritual] maturation. ?]
Each one who wishes for the aim,
His/her wish:
"Let me be from the ones who take," he/she says,
He/she enters the wideness like that.
If he/she does not come to your foot, [if he/she does not come to you]
Do not take question from the guest, [==if he/she comes to you, take the guest's question]
Do not put point to his/her [? your ?] record.
The one who hits
Changes the direction of the one who is hit,
Provides division in the spare. [spare==human who doubts WHAT he/she searches]
The one who is divided
Spreads in equality,
He/she turns HIS earth to him/herself.
[? He/she turns his/her place [in after earth life] to[ward] him/herself. ?]
[? He/she turns the appropriateness to him/herself. ?]
If you take the end point from earth, [if you perceive The Meaning while you are on earth]
It takes to the unreachable, [? It takes to The Unreachable One, ?]
Each connection is added there;
His/her measure of value
Is reduced from the record.
The one who did/does not mature [spiritually] during the contribution
Is overflowed.
[We interpret the above verses as follows: Human is tested with each event. If he/she learns his/her lesson, he/she will have less or no more stones on his/her path. If he/she takes HIS path, he/she will be granted by Allah higher spiritual degree in after earth life. Human who does not mature spiritually during events, is taught his/her lesson the hard way...]
What is in pocket and
What stays in cap ['cap' like in 'bonnet'] [what you do with matter]
Is your own measure of value.
The choice is of course
Not in you, in me.
The one who matures [spiritually] while contributing,
Comes,
Finds in Darling.
What water gives
Is at the place where it is watched with admiration.
If you measure its flow, [if you evaluate the water according to its flow at the waterfall,]
If you let [it] go as wind to the universe,
It would be called as ‘cataclysm,’
One would enter the birth like that.
“How?” is being said.
If waterfall flowed in every moment with the same speed, [if water flowed always as in the case of waterfall, then]
It would lose its value,
It would bring cataclysm to its structure.
Balance is set up in order [orderliness]:
When it is appropriate,
It is flowed from high,
When it is appropriate,
It is passed via flat plain.
It is the structure specialty of the universe.
Each one who wishes to take,
Who says, “Let it flow like in the example of waterfall,”
Is mistaken;
He/she finds HIS path
With events that are expected.
Let us throw lasso,
Let us find the atoms in the point.
What is the one that we search?
Is it the one that the particle nourishes?
Or does each essence decorate one another?
A particle is witness of the other particle.
What is called emptiness [space]
Is The One That is wrapped by apparatus, [what is called as ‘space’ [in the universe] is WHAT humans detect by means of apparatuses/tools…]
Is The One That is prepared to each one who gets filled openly.
In openness,
There are billion individual whole[s].
In The Building,
There are particles that are called as ‘point.’
[on earth:]
What the sound fills, is [considered as] empty,
What is called full, [is considered as] stone.
[when earth and elsewhere in the universe are compared:]
Even though it is said, “Different because of [mother] nature,”
In atmosphere,
Knot is untied in Milky Way.
Say to the one who talks about discovery:
Inside and outside of the atmosphere
Come like in the example of [a] bunch [of flowers].
Atmosphere: the flower that is in hand.
Outside of the atmosphere:
Is the scent that comes from the flower to your nose.
One is in hand,
One is in heart.
Even though it is said,
“We go to moon,
We go to star,”
One does never get out of the sheath of the atmosphere.
Even though coming into being is The Reality
At each place where the foot stands on,
There is no finding of one anOther.
[Even though human on earth is in The Reality, he/she is unaware of That...]
In forest,
The one that one gets used to,
The one that one comes together in its air
Is the giving of The Reality.
What is surprising
Is the connection that each one has with one another.
Each tree knows its place.
None of its branches bends;
It conforms to the reality of society.
If you pay attention, [you see that]
When in group,
Tree rises in [a straight] form
With orderly branches.
At the place where
They are scattered,
It spreads sidewards.
Coming into being is this. [? [spiritual] Maturation is this. ?]
When in group, it rises;
When scattered, it spreads [sidewards].
Singly-singly [when single], he/she is divided and becomes degenerate,
He/she becomes dust in society.
Becoming dust takes to degeneration.

The beauty of The Reality is seen
Not with equality
But with variety.
…

(Question: You would give the answer to the question: Does chicken come from egg, or egg from chicken?)
We said, "Chicken,"
We gave the egg.
'Coming into being' is with body;
'Finding' is with root [origin].
If it is like that,
If 'coming into being' is given with body,
Chicken is the one that comes,
Egg is the one that spreads.
Egg comes from chicken.
The one that is created is chicken.
The Creator gave love to HIS human
And took [love] from him/her.
In other words,
HE loved, HE is loved.
Each human who knows his/her moment,
Enters the moment that comes,
Like that, lifetime is added to one another.
Each addition completes one another.
Blessing is that:
Let you know yourself,
Let you be proud of your humanity.
At the place where you see,
Do not turn the mirror.
What you will see, shows also the one who/that comes.
If you turn [it], you become pessimist.
What you will find when you come [to after earth life]
Is what you have been expecting.
Let one not say, “He/she passed [his/her test on earth],”
Let one not fall in judgment.
We said before:
The one that was tried
Is example of the one who was being controlled.
Your work is resource to the one who knows.
Let
The one that you carried halfway,
Not be the one that is left halfway.
“What does it mean?” is said.
Do not leave halfway,
Do not give place to cover.

If he/she stays without smoke,
He/she will conform to The Order [orderliness],
He/she will find in correctness.
It is seen
That you will set up the balance
On the passage that is temporary,
That you will conform to the one that comes.
The fact that you stay away from oath
Is praised.
The specialty of balance:
What the place that you wait for, waits for,
You will see that it becomes true in The Meaning.
Both what comes from the ship
And what is asked to ship’s crew
Give from the sea,
One enters the wideness like that.
HE will give his/her place,
He/she will set up the balance.
They know your value,
They love as much as you love.
Do not ask each one that is called ‘ship,’ [do not confuse our ship with other ships]
Do not interpret [what they say there],
Do not enter from the same path.
