I am Mevlana.
At the place where there is force,
At the place where respect stands, human’s path is open.
Destiny being written, not because of pleading; [destiny is not written because of your pleading]
[however,] Your pleading
LIGHTens your heart,
Makes events acquire [a] new form,
Makes beauty find its tongue, [makes beauty talk / makes one see the beauties]
Takes soft human to his/her [? HIS ?] place, gives him/her to HIS direction.
Even if worm gnaws the tree,
It should not be thought that it harms its root.
The aim of the one who descends into the well, is to take the one that fell [in the well],
[his/her aim is] To take [it] up.
What is the one that decreases?
Neither the one who descends into the well, nor the one that is said about, “Let me take [it] up.”
Shortcoming is seen only in intention.
My Yunus says:
Do not ask the one who traces border, about the other side so that
You are not subject to bad word. [so that he/she does not talk to you badly]
Since border is traced, it is said, “Do not look at the other side!”
If it was necessary to look at the other side, one would not trace any border.
Why do you think of eating?
Because of the service of the body. [to feed the body that serves you]
What did the earth give you?
Of course the return of your service [work].
What did you give to it?
Only your love.
Love and work, love and see;
Embrace each being who/that comes from HIM
With the same closeness.
Hazrat Osman says:
I saw the one who was nearby,
I asked about the one who was faraway.
I embraced the one who was lovely,
I loved all [humans] saying, “[they are all] From HIM.”
I loved the one who loved, I loved the one who knew.
I loved the one who restrained him/herself when he/she was suffering.
The one who feels sorry not because of The One Who gives, but for what HE gives,
The one whom The Giver made means [intermediary].
In reality, if you think not of the one who hits, but of The One Who makes hit,
Then in his/her [? your ?] being, you would find HIM.
The one who says, “Let me be exceptional human,”
Is the one who wastes his/her humanity for nothing.
My Allah chooses HIS exceptional human.
HIS human repents in the name of HAK.
Human who sees him/herself [as being] in fault towards HAK,
How does he/she wait to be exceptional?
It does not happen by waiting, but it is [by] 'finding.'
The most beautiful of temperament is to conform.
This has the same theme as my Yunus’ essence.
What does the effort give? Hope.
Hope nourishes the effort.
Hazrat Meryem says: [Meryem=Virgin Mary]
Treasure is valuable because of its load,
Universe [is valuable] because of its HALIK.
Treasure may become empty in any moment.
Universe exists as long as its HALIK says, “Be!”
Each one that human learns, is [his/her] benefit.
Each word that you learn is HIS science.
Do not think that the events that do not conform to [your] intention
Are cruelty.
If human knew this, he/she is more beautiful than beautiful.
[however,] If you think that you know, take protection in HIS pardon.
The one that you do not know does not give shade onto what you know;
The one that you know, does not come to you as bad. [the one that you know may seem to you as good/right, but it may be wrong/bad]
Suspect who is ruled to be summoned,
If he/she did not fall in fault,
Let him/her take shelter in the justice of my Allah.
The one who matures [spiritually], sees,
The one who pleads, knows.
It is known that one pleads for the good of all [humans].
Let you be entrusted to my Allah,
Let you find without reciprocal.
My Allah sees the one who waits,
Gives before the one who waits. [gives before he/she starts to wait]
Let my Allah be pleased with all of you,
Let the peace of the universe be filled with HIS humans.
Eyvallah.

I am Mevlana.
The one who is faithful, the one who finds HIS soft path,
Is the one who conforms to the salvation of the nest. [nest==Mevlana’s/Garib’s congregation]
The Creator is found by loving the creation.
That human is called 'deep lover.'
To know the soil in the stone; [to know that the soil comes from the stone]
'Stone' is the state [situation] of the faithful human before he/she becomes [spiritually] mature. [? 'Stone' is the state of the faithful human before he/she becomes [faithful]. ?]
The one who is curious about the other side of the lofty mountain,
“Let me fly, let me arrive [there],” he/she says.
However, if he/she says, “Let me walk, let me arrive,”
[then] His/her permission is ready.
Why is 'groundless worry'?
Because of distrustfulness.
The bird of which you took the feather can of course not fly.
What is the feather of the [spiritual] meaning?
Softness, in other words, submission.
Which one is more beautiful, the ground or the sky?
What is in the ground?
What is in the sky?
Then:
Neither is the ground more beautiful than the sky,
Nor is the sky more beautiful than the ground.
What makes the beautiful one beautiful, is the ugly image of the beautiful one.
What is the ugly image of the beautiful one?
External beauty of course.
You put the stone that you take from the ground to the foundation.
If it is like that, where is the ugliness?
Each one who comes to the universe, fills the foundation.
It makes human [spiritually] mature, as much as he/she sees on HIS path.
Is 'to live' something that the body can do?
'Life' starts at the place where wool ball ends. [wool ball==lifetime on earth]
If my Allah wrote, [then] it is born in the heart of human. [then it appears in the heart of human]
Wine of 'meyhane' makes HIS human pleasant. [meyhane=bar/restaurant like public place in 14th century where wine was served]
'To criticize the one that happened' is fault;
To roll the one that will happen up, [is] bigger fault than that.
What is “to roll up”?
To put in template, to interpret, to wish to know the one that will happen.
If you say for each event, “This is God-given share,”
Then you find submission.
Judgment [decree/ruling] is only in HIM.
If permission is given, if the one that happens is said openly,
[then] Human is [would be] utterly bewildered,
“One does not live on earth,” he/he says [he/she would say].
The one that is not good deed is not written;
The one that is written, is not changed.
Guest conforms to the going of the path, [human conforms to events]
Feels his/her return [to after earth life].
The one who is faithful, says, “What happens is good deed,” he/she waits.
If it snows, if road is covered [with snow], there is no going of the human,
For that [reason] he/she can not conform to the return.
If jugs were [full of] sherbet, [sherbet=any of a number of nonalcoholic drinks made with sugar and spices or sugar and fruit juice]
If human asks HIS human about the path,
“You are HIS human if you can hold his/her hand," I say.
Every side of the head serves for the food that you eat.
For the food that he/she will eat,
Each human sets up his/her work according to his/her mind.
Mouth, tongue, throat are in the same service too.
Yet, each human is sufficient for him/herself.
Millions of brains that are in the universe
Take order from one single center,
Walk on that path.

I am Mevlana.
Koran is written for both worlds; [i.e. earth and after earth life]
99 of them belong to after earth life, one [belongs] to earth.
The one that is given to earth, is gathered together in after earth life too.
Jeweler takes the gold as ingot, does fine work on it, gives [like that].
Each artisan’s work is mirror of value.
In reality, gold is still the same gold,
What gains importance is workmanship. [what is important is workmanship]
Human is like that too:
He/she comes [to earth] as ingot gold, he/she does fine work on him/herself on earth.
Of course, what Koran gives
Is what human takes in accordance with his/her heart structure.
Human who cries [sheds tears] for the one that does not come true
Is seen that he/she makes tear-bowl for him/herself from the gold.
You [may] make crown for your head from the gold too,
You [may] put [it] on your chest as brooch too.
You [may] also make bowl saying, “Let me get from the place where the [spiritual] water flows.”
Its external value is the fine work that is done on [it];
Its esoteric value is the place where it is used.
Fine work allays eye’s hunger, [fine work pleases one’s eye]
Usage shows his/her intention.
The food that you think of eating:
You first get its ingredients;
You conform either to your budget or to your zest.
On stagnant water, record of the sun is seen;
In flowing water, color of the sun is erased.
In reality, neither is its record kept nor is it[‘s color] erased.
Sun revolves as it came.
If you say, “Where does it come from?”
From the place where earth goes back to,
From the day when it was set up.

My Yunus says:
Do not separate the veal from the mother,
Do not favor sheep and lamb.
Do not say, “Veal is more than lamb.”
Do not forget that even though it eats a lot, it gives a lot,
It takes according to its [? HIS ?] giving.
My word is for the one who does not share what he/she takes,
Not for you.
Let it not be forgotten that our chats
Are never private.
I did not say about [to]day’s chat;
All of our chats are for each one who wishes,
Not for the assembly [only].

I am Mevlana.
It is obvious
That the existence can not be erased,
That nothing can be seen, but the one that is written.
The one that is said about, “He/she does not mature [spiritually],” will mature:
Chip [of wood] will pierce the eye of human,
His/her eye will get wet, will flow, [this verse may have two meanings: 1. he/she will shed teardrops, 2. he/she will lose his/her eye]
His/her vision will get better like that.
Path erases the one who does not conform to the public.
My Allah protects the one who finds soft path.
Lifetime is the foundation of the nest.
Coal is the extinguished state of the faithful.

I am Mevlana.
The one who is faithful knows:
'Mursidi kamil' [spiritually mature mursheed] is the one who knows the path, who gives [the path] to the one who wishes.
'Mursidi mumin' [faithful mursheed], is the one who says, “What is my path?”
Is the one who asks the one who knows.
We came to give our path.
We saw the hearts as [being] nice.
We made cover from purple color,
We opened the [spiritual] meaning to HIS humans as much as it is necessary.
The one that is beautiful is to conform to the one that happens,
Not to say, “Conform!” to the one who does not conform.
Each human conforms according to his/her structure.
Our giving is neither for word nor for “saz.” [saz=a stringed instrument (which somewhat resembles a lute)] [our chats' aim is not to entertain humans]
Run away from the one that does not conform to your logic.
[however,] Do not criticize the one who does not run away.
Each human’s logic does not give the same solution.
If you say, “Was that mistake?”
From whichever direction human’s logic solves the event,
The right one is that.
The one who read Mesnevi, the one who wove its science,
Is he/she faulty if he/she does not draw the line straight?
Of course not.
Straight line is art.
However, carving, it is also art.
There is no “more beautiful-more ugly” of art.
The one who traces the carved design, can not draw straight line.
However, he/she is artist too.
The one who takes the water into the cup, is the one who sees the sip in it.
The one who gives HIS path to his/her heart, is the one who pours the water into the ocean, [ocean==God]
Is the one who says, “Let me be of assistance,”
And those are the pleadings that are made.
You practice “sunna” part of the worship, [sunna=Muslim law based, according to tradition, on the teachings and practices of Mohammed and observed by orthodox Muslims: a supplement to the Koran]
You present it as gift to HIS Representative, why?
Because you know that he will distribute [it] to all [humans],
That he will welcome you [to after earth life] with them.
In other words, our respect is because of his generosity.
The pleading of the one who is Muslim, is for all [humans].
You say, “Infidel,”
You assume that HIS human is guard of hell.
What is infidelity?
[infidel person is] The one who knows
The [spiritual] meaning as nonexistent,
The earth as [his/her] right[ful due].
Earth is of course [his/her] right[ful due];
However, [it is] not his/her property.
The one who considers the property as foundation too, is the one who says,
“Earth is mine.”
Our chat has been for [to]day,
Our word stayed here.
Let greeting be to all of you,
Let my Allah be pleased with all of you.

I am Mevlana.
The one who does not know the [spiritual] meaning, does not conform,
The one who does not take, does not hear.
The one who does not erase the earth, does not laugh.
If you say, “What is the place of knowing the meaning?” [what do you mean by “knowing the meaning?”]
To erase the matter, to conform to the one that happens.
To erase the matter
Is not to withdraw one's hand from every thing.” [is not to keep oneself away from earthly pleasures]
Each state [situation]
That is in proper order,
That is in accordance with human’s heart,
That occurs according to my Allah’s command,
Is [a] step taken toward the [spiritual] meaning.
Let greeting be to all of you,
Let 'meyhane' be the residence. [meyhane=bar/restaurant like public place in 14th century where wine was served]
Let the leaf of the rose be the one that ignites,
Let your lifetime pass like in the example of the rose.
At each star that moves,
Let human’s name be talked about. [star==saint]
Let us not make the belt tight,
Let us not complain saying, “It squeezed.”
Let us not consider the ant and the bee as one. [let us not see the ant and the bee as equals]
In the accounting of the one that is said about, “It happened,” [when evaluating past events]
If we fall in fault, let us not blame the surrounding.
Let us not wait for the path of the one that will happen, from human. [for future events, let us wait not from human [but from God]]
The one who is away from homeland,
The one who knows HIS path,
Salvation is seen in his/her pleading in the name of HAK,
His/her yeast is kneaded according to the permission of my Allah.
Would he/she be away from homeland? Spirit is among you in each moment.
"Being away from homeland" is in the world that is in matter,
Is the one who is separated from body. [human in body who is separated from another human in body]
Human’s spirit is also among us in each moment.
The one that separates is the body.
The place where you put your foot at, where you go to step by step
Is the place where you conform to.
Is it seen that the tree goes?
My word is for the one who knows to come to his/her senses.
“What is obedience,” is being said, measure is sought.
You say, "How does one say, 'No!', if his/her food, his/her age is big." [if he/she is rich, if he/she is old, how can one not obey him/her?]
Answering [a] request that is away from HAK’s command
Is not appropriate,
Even if his/her age is big, [even if he/she is old]
Even if he/she wishes to expel you from his/her table.
Say, "Let my Allah not close my door."
My answer is not private.
I told before:
If it is necessary to open the chimney that is filled with soot,
Do not think [do not worry] that both your surrounding and your cloth
Will get dirty.
[that dirt,] You clean [it] with water.
Yet, you remove your smoke in moment.
The moment in which you say, “I am its/his/her owner,”
Each being is recorded to you too,
Because HE is in every being.
The moment in which you say, “Mine, [? I am, ?]” is the moment you separate [yourself] from HIM.
Let my Allah not separate, let HIM not put smoke in your heart.
The denial of the suspect who is summoned, is known very clearly,
One looks for the evidence of the crime.
There is no hope in the punishment that is given, why?
Because he/she knows from human.
If you say, “From my Allah,”
Then you do not attempt to commit crime,
You do not add haram to HAK’s path.
“Let greeting be to all of you,” he said, my Yunus came.
When we opened path to the chat, when our food walks around from human to human,
You may even dip the bread into salt,
With chat, the taste of the word satiates hearts.
The one that is beautiful is the table of Prophet.
With the one who comes [to earth], with the one who finds [HIM/The Reality],
With the one who laughs,
With the one who rejoices,
Heart finds joy,
Peace satiates human.
You remember the shade when you burn in the sun;
“Let me find [the shade],” you say, you turn around. [you look for the shade]
If you do not find what you hope for,
You complain about The Creator to The Creator.
If you hit your foot, you blame the stone.
WHO helps you
To find your place,
To seek the shade?
WHO covers the wound that is opened?
When the assembly gets together, chat occurs through mouth,
[chat] Is tied to the heart of all [humans].
Whose care is there in the vineyard?
Did you see The Creator
Of Whom you know HIS Being,
WHOM you say about, “Let my path conform [to HIM]”?
I saw HIS creation[s] a lot, I loved,
I found The Creator like that.
Life is born in Darling,
Life is enclosed in body.
“What does that mean?” is said.
Body is the earth ambassador of the life.
If you can conform the body to the one that comes from the life [i.e. Darling],
Then the universe is yours.
[however,] If you conform the body to the life [i.e. ego],
Know that the universe becomes cylinder [like a road roller],
It may throw you from its top in each moment.
The space that you fall in, is [the] training [education] for your life.
The moment in which you say, “My Allah,”
Is the moment when you are held by hand.
The day on which all [humans] come, conform to HIS path,
Our chat is with you,
He said, my Yunus walked.
If you say, “Is our record erased, or is it written from moment to moment?”
I wrote before [about] the ones that are recorded in the writing,
The ones that are given from birth.
The events that turn around the destiny [the events that Allah creates in accordance with one's destiny]
Are given according to the intention of the human.
However, The One Who writes that, is also [the same] One Pen.
Whatever he/she does, whomever he/she makes agreement with, human can not change that.
The food that you put on the table,
Together with its flavor, its salt, you prepare [it].
[however,] Whether you will eat [it], is your God-given share.
Once you say, “[I know that] It is God-given share,”
Do not hanker for the one that you can not eat.
Does the virtue of Friday not exist on Wednesday?
My Allah gave each day to HIS human.
“Let him/her find what he/she wishes for, on each day,” HE said.
It should be known that no unsupported word is recorded.
Does the specialty of Friday shade the beauty of Tuesday?
Is the caliphate of Osman superior to
The caliphate of Omar?
Justice of one, bravery of the other one.
Hazrat Ali’s strength,
Hazrat Ebu Bekir’s [Hazrat Abu Bakr's] generosity
Are from HIS attributes
That my Allah favored them with.
Let us acquire each hal of their hal,
Even if it is very little, let it be our God-given share.
Let us take their mothers, sisters as example,
Let us acquire their hal.
When we said, “Let us acquire their hal,” we meant 'their specialties.'
Hazrat Hatice’s [Hazrat Khadijah's] motherhood,
Hazrat Fatma’s [Hazrat Fatimah's] womanhood,
Hazrat Ayse’s [Hazrat Aisha's] order [orderliness],
Hazrat Meryem's [Virgin Mary's] attitude.
What is meant by 'attitude' [is]:
Staying away from the determined day,
Knowing date [fruit] as beneficiary for herself,
Sharing the event that happened, with my Allah,
Having heart-to-heart talk with HIM.
“Remedy for my trouble, my Allah,” she said,
She waited from HIM,
She knew that HIS human could not give her [any remedy].
Let it be known that
Hazrat Asiye's generosity,
Her giving came from HIM,
Was distributed on HIS path.
We said, “Ya Allah,” we gave the word to Hadji Bayram. [ya=O ...!/Oh ...! (used to show strong emotion, especially exasperation): Ya Rabbi! O Lord!/O my God!]
The day on which
You remember, you burn [in heart] saying, “Allah,”
[the day on which] You see nicely even the maturation of the cupbearer,
You all get “hay attribute” as God-given share.
In opening the [spiritual] meaning, there is finding what one hopes for.
Let us understand from “hay attribute:”
Peeling HIS human’s heart off his/her body.
If you say, “How is it peeled off?”
Life that is dependent on body
Stays without God-given share of the [spiritual] meaning.
To peel body and spirit off one another,
In other words, to keep the spirit alive.
“Let HAK’s path open to all of you,
Let path of God-given share open to all of you,” he said,
He greeted all of you, he walked.
Hazrat Hadji Bektas Veli says:
Let no one know another one as crazy,
Let the one who comes [to earth], laugh,
Let the one who goes [to after earth life], find [HIM].
Let him/her say:
'My RAB,
I came from YOU,
I knew YOU [while I was on earth],
I arrived in YOU.'
Let you be entrusted to my Allah,
Let you find the universe in your heart.
