Neither did I take, nor do I sell.
I hold
The one who knows, the one who does not know,
By his/her hand.
The ones whose hearts are open,
The ones who find The Reality in themselves
Become traveler of the path,
Find The Beautiful One Whom they seek.
In the essence of Mevlana
There is the name of The Reality.
In his views
Each place where he stands is narrow.
When he heads towards himself
He becomes Being in the universe.
He leaves wrapping, interrogation,
Becomes “hal” with his Real One. [hal (in this context)==to be
reunited with The Creator]
Love is placed in the name of Yunus Emre,
In his code.
He loves the one who comes,
He loves the one who goes.
He praises The Creator.
He erases his/her [other human's] worry.
He becomes mill, [like a water mill:] [? He returns to the mill,
?]
He hears the sound of flowing waters
Deep inside himself.
He is the one who praises,
He is the one who loves,
He is the one who is loved, he is the one who makes [one] be loved.
Meryem and Fatima [Meryem==Virgin Mary]
Brought loaf [of bread] in hand.
They made the love grow, they ended the interrogation.
They said,
There is one thousand one labors of each morsel. [one thousand
one==infinity]
It is difficult to pay [back] the worth of the labor.
Hadji Bektas said:
I planted crop in the field.
I did not touch the tyrant.
Each one who worked,
Opened his/her own door;
The one who could not [work], chose the difficulty him/herself.
See when HE gives height to crops,
Ask when ears of the grains develop.
Lokman came to our table,
“I do not look at your pomposity,” he said. ["I do not pay attention
to your pomposity," he said]
Whoever says what,
Let everybody eat fresh herb.
Do not laugh, do not make laugh,
Do not say, “does one eat herb?”
Each vegetable is first herb.
Pir Sultan Abdal asked:
What did you seek,
Where did you find,
Whom did you wrap around?
On my day, it was asked to me:
Where did I come from,
Where did I arrive at,
Where did I stop?
I came from The Being,
I stayed in nothingness, [i.e. I was as image on earth]
I returned to multiplicity [wholeness].
Plus [addition], minus [subtraction],
Times [multiplication], division of the earth
Are all in you,
Disappear in you;
Like that human knows him/herself.
If you divide yourself by yourself,
You stay as bewildered.
If you subtract yourself from the society,
You keep on falling.
If you multiply your love by love,
You fall in deep love.
The most beautiful [of all], tie yourself to plus [addition sign]:
Love as much as you can love,
Be loved as much as you are loved..
You find in Him what you wish for,
You come to hal
that you wish.
There,
There is, “thank YOU,” [thanking to God]
There is thanking.
Let selam [peace/greeting] be, let selam be, let selam be.
